Signal Science: The Analog Computer

  • Signal Science is a signal-based view of the world.
  • A purely computational view of the universe is fundamentally lacking. The universe is continuous, not discrete; computations are digital; signals along can attain the continuous.
  • Signal Science is a science of media, of communication, of message-passing, and of functions, not merely computations; computation is not enough.
  • If the universe is a quantum supercomputer, it is an Analog Computer.
